Friction and Inequality among Peacekeepers in Mali

European and African peacekeepers have been deployed in very different roles in the international operation in Mali.

The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) was established in 2013 to support Mali’s peace process.
