Non-traditional security issues and North Korea
Exploring non-traditional security issues in North Korea and their impact on Korean Peninsula peace prospects, security and unification.
We will explore a range of non-traditional and often under-explored North Korean security challenges, how these might impact domestic and foreign policymaking in Pyongyang, and their relationship with more conventional and broader security concerns on the Korean Peninsula.
Aims and objectives
Through a series of events, commentary articles and short video presentations, the project seeks to boost experts’ and policymakers’ understanding of non-traditional security developments and strengthen interdisciplinary analysis of the Korean Peninsula.
Project outputs
The project will produce a series of public discussion events, commentary articles and videos that will be made available regularly throughout the project. The events will be held online, and videos of the discussions will be uploaded to this page shortly afterwards. Commentary articles and videos will expand on the topics covered in the events.
