RUSI welcomes Dr Ian Kearns

RUSI is pleased to welcome Dr Ian Kearns to its staff. Joining the Institute as a Senior Research Fellow, Kearns brings a rich background in international security affairs.

His work as Acting Director and Deputy Director of the Institute for Public Policy Research and Deputy Chair of the IPPR’s independent All-Party Commission on National Security in the Twenty-First Century will provide valuable insight into research at RUSI. Having focused on transatlantic relations, nuclear non-proliferation and European affairs in the past, Kearns contributes a breadth of thinking to RUSI’s international study. His work on these subjects is made practical by his dynamic voice in the global media and his regular contribution to various publications.
