Battlefront in Libya

Efforts to cripple the advancement of Qadhafi's troops took a new direction with NATO replacing the USA as the primary force despite its reduced aerial arsenal. With rebel appeals for increased airstrikes and continued political defections, RUSI experts were highly sought to give their analysis on the operations within Libya.

Military Budget Debacle

The Ministry of Defence won a reprieve on its £1billion funding gap prompting speculation on the expected fall of defence spending under the strategic defence review. With the government insisting that the cost of the Libya operation would not lead to extra cuts, RUSI experts were sought to provide their analysis.
