Dr Luba Zatsepina

Luba is a Research Analyst in the Proliferation and Nuclear Policy Programme at RUSI working on the Russian Strategic Culture project and supporting UK PONI activities.  

She holds a PhD in Politics from the University of Edinburgh with a specific focus on identity constructions and nuclear policy in the Soviet Union.

Prior to joining RUSI, Luba worked for the Journal of Defence Studies and taught on International Relations and Security courses at the University of Edinburgh. Her research expertise includes critical security studies, gendered perspectives on nuclear proliferation and disarmament, and nuclear policy in Russia/Soviet Union and the United States.
