Evangelina is a Serious and Organised Crime Research Assistant at RUSI’s National Security Studies team, where her research focuses on a range of transnational organised crime topics, including martime security and illicit trade of narcotics. Evangelina joined RUSI in February 2019 following the completion of her MSc in International Relations Theory at London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE), where she was a recipient of a 2017/2018 LSE Anniversary Scholarship, and her BA Hons in Geography (with International Relations) from University College London (UCL). Prior to joining RUSI, Evangelina worked at a political and security risk firm in London, focusing on political developments around natural resources and maritime security in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. Prior to that, she worked as a research intern at the think-tank the Constitution Unit at UCL and at the Ramphal Institute, based at King’s College London (KCL).
