Senior Associate Fellow

Margaret Gilmore is an award winning writer, broadcaster and analyst, and a Senior Associate Fellow with RUSI. She specialises in national security, lecturing and writing on counter-terrorism, intelligence, Northern Ireland and the media. She also serves on public service Boards, currently as a Non-Executive Director sitting as Deputy Chair of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority, and a lead Assistant Commissioner for the Boundary Commission for England.  Margaret is the former Senior BBC Home Affairs Correspondent and covered 9/11 and the July 7,  2005 London bomb attacks for the BBC. She began her television career as correspondent for the BBC in Belfast, and later worked on Panorama and Newsnight. She continues to write and broadcast, and advises private and public sector organisations on security-related issues.
She is co-author (with Andy Hayman) of the  book “The Terrorist Hunters”.
