RUSI records with great sadness the passing of Sir Christopher Meyer KCMG, a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute for many years.
Sir Christopher served the UK following graduation from Peterhouse, Cambridge joining the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1966. His distinguished career culminated in postings as the British ambassador to first Germany and then the United States of America.
From 2014 onwards he was a Distinguished Fellow of RUSI and a regular contributor to and Chair of events. We recall with gratitude his frequent and eloquent contributions to our discussions on UK foreign policy and trans-Atlantic relations.
