RUSI and the Russian International Affairs Council present their joint report and discuss its conclusions.

Early this year, RUSI and the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) convened a workshop to review British and Russian perspectives on the state of contemporary European security. Sessions at the workshop examined the threats faced by the continent; the future of conventional arms control mechanisms, including the Treaty on Open Skies; and the growing tensions in the north Atlantic, Arctic, and Baltic sea.

Event Speakers:

Professor Malcolm Chalmers, Deputy Director General, RUSI

Dr Neil Melvin, Director International Security Studies, RUSI

Professor Andrey Kortunov, Director General, RIAC

Dr Sergey Utkin, Head of the Strategic Assessment Section, Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO)

Simultaneous English-Russian interpretation will be provided.

This event is part of the UK-Russia Security Dialogue which brings together policy and industry specialists from the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation to examine leading, and occasionally sensitive, security issues with the aim of promoting an open and constructive bilateral dialogue. Previous years’ reports can be found here.
