Recognising the importance of security issues as they apply to Scotland, RUSI is initiating a series of events in Scotland. The first of these will take place at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.

This event will address Security and the High North, reflecting the increasing interest in Scotland and the UK on regional cooperation networks in the north of Europe and across the North Atlantic. It will seek to consider the geopolitical challenges and strategic opportunities that are developing in the region and what these might mean for Scotland.

Recognising the significant interest in security and defence issues across the political, commercial and academic communities in Scotland, RUSI supported by industry partners has decided to provide a series of opportunities for discussion and debate.

Forthcoming events will look at cyber security and countering violent extremism.

Speakers will include:

Dr Igor Sutyagin, Senior Fellow, RUSI

Rear Admiral Nils Christian Wang, Commandant, Royal Danish College of Military Science

The seminar will be followed by a drinks reception. If you have any queries please contact Hannah Croft at HannahC@rusi.org.
