BY INVITATION ONLY: Cyber Competition Scenario Planning
Cyber 9/12 is a cyber policy and strategy competition run in conjunction with Cabinet Office, National Cyber Security Centre, RUSI and the Atlantic Council. The competition challenges teams of students to engage with cyber security policy and offer suggestions to senior decision makers in the face of an evolving security scenario.
Over the course of the two-day competition, teams are presented with a series of briefing packs outlining the current state of the scenario, to which they must formulate a range of policy options and justify their recommended course of action in oral presentations to panels of judges.
The competition will be held in London later this year and will serve the interests of a wide set of stakeholders from the government, military and private sector. We want to create a scenario that addresses the main concerns of the stakeholders in terms of what they see as the most pressing cyber security issues in the near future. Potential topics may include, but are not limited to, critical national infrastructure, the financial sector, or elections.
The aim of the breakfast roundtable is to elicit input from stakeholders and those with an understanding of the context to ensure we formulate a scenario which is relevant and to which the competition participants can make meaningful contributions.
This event is by invitation only. If you would like to express interest in attending, please contact Louise Tingle.
