This event will explore FinTech as an emerging industry, the role of the different actors in shaping the sector and the opportunities and challenges related to AML/CTF requirements.

Technology based innovations are starting to radically change the financial industry but still little is known on its implications to the fight against financial crime and the ways in which anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing (AML/CTF) standards are being implemented.

Emphasising the opportunities generated by mobile money, blockchain and crypto currencies, but recognising the uncertainty around non-face to face verification and implementing FATF standards, this breakfast briefing will inform beginners as well as challenge practitioners to do more towards a crime resilient FinTech world.

Speakers will include:

  • Gemma Rogers: Director, FINTRAIL
  • Michael Ruck: Senior Associate, Pinsent Masons
  • Stephen Ball: Vice President, Comply Advantage
  • Laurence Twelvetrees: Head of Risk and Compliance, Revolut

Coffee and pastries will be served from 8:00am
