Peter Flach, an Armoured Corps officer for 32 years, was Deputy Project Manager MRAV for two years and led the TRACER Programme for four years. After leaving the Army, he was Director Customer Relations with General Dynamics UK, working on FRES and OUVS. He is now Director Business Development for the Department of Engineering Systems and Management, Cranfield University at the Defence Academy. From his deep experience of armoured vehicle procurement over 20 years, he pinpoints many significant weaknesses in the UK process and culture of procuring equipment.
