Corporate Members may nominate those of its staff who will benefit from the work of the Institute. Each 'Nominee' will be provided with a membership card as proof of identity for access to the building and have the following benefits:

Publications

The RUSI Journal - a bi-monthly widely acclaimed publication on defence and international security.
The RUSI Newsbrief - a monthly concise analysis of key current events and their possible outcome.
The Whitehall Papers - occasional monographs providing in-depth critical analysis of an individual issue.
RUSI Defence Systems - published three times a year, examining, in depth, the current strategic and procurement issues facing the defence community.

Lectures, Presentations and Conferences

RUSI runs a programme of some twenty lunch-time lectures annually. Speakers are from the ranks of distinguished international figures as well as British political, military, industrial and academic leaders. In addition, the Institute mounts numerous specialized 1-3 day seminars and conferences annually. Members may attend at discounted rates. The Director will periodically send formal invitations to Corporate Members to join the speaker and other selected guests for a light lunch, prior to Lectures. If a 'Nominee' is unable to attend a Lecture or it is more appropriate for a colleague to attend a particular event, that individual may attend subject to prior notice being provided.

Controlled Access to RUSI Experts

A Level 2 Corporate Member is an organisation that is starting a close working relationship with RUSI. In addition to the benefits offered to Level 1 members, Level 2 Corporates are allowed access to our accomplished and versatile research staff.

Whitehall Dialogues

An essential element of the Institute's research work is the 'closed' forum conducted in conjunction with several of the study programmes and attended by Corporate Level 2 nominness and renowned experts. Averaging ten meetings annually, each meeting begins with brief opening remarks from an official or individual thoroughly versed in the topic being considered. Discussions then follow, in order to better understand the issues involved and to explore future prospects. The success of the forum is determined by the positive involvement of the participants. The discussions cover issues of particular and timely concern and the interchange of views both inform and stimulate the formulation of future policy choices. The purpose of each forum is to provide practical foundations for the translation of ideas into prospective realities.
